The Writing Challenge 2018

I haven't written a lot about the writing aspect of my life this year. Maybe that's because I haven't written much, but that doesn't mean things haven't been brewing. In fact, this year has been my most productive year yet when it comes to finding new ideas to write and while it's a good thing that I can still find things to write about (I was honestly beginning to worry I've lost touch with my creative spark), it's also a bad thing.

I have had four, four new and original ideas for books this year. Each idea is amazingly good, so good that I wish I could just write them all immediately and have them ready for intensive editing. That thought has been echoing in my head for the past few weeks when it suddenly hit me: why shouldn't I write them all immediately? I could just focus on plowing through each idea, write their stories, and move on to the next one to finish. At least once I've finished writing them all, I could go back and start my developmental editing on those I feel should go out first! That way, I'll be able to take a nice, long break of writing extensively and prepare for four books for publication.
IDEA: Write four books before the end of the year. Yeah, that's right, four full, 50,000+ worded books in SIX MONTHS. For those of you who know me, I participate in NaNoWriMo almost every year. I know I can write a book in a month, so even this is possible, but can my brain handle it??
On June 23rd, I will pick a title "out of a hat" and start working on that idea since I can't pick one myself (they're all so good). You can follow my writing challenge journey right here on my blog. I'll be making sure to update it daily/every other day to give you an inside look on my triumphs and struggles while I attempt to do this challenge. I know it will be hard, but imagine how accomplished I'll feel when I've done it? Now I'm aware that in the end, I might not get all four fully finished, but I'll be proud of myself despite it all!
I'm so looking forward to this journey c:

  1. I might need you to tell me more about NaNoWriMo. I feel like I am the only blogger/reader who knows nothing about it. Lol

I can't wait to see how your stories go! Just don't burn yourself out on them.
I need to write my book but I feel like I'm just stuck in a rut. For the longest time I've had all these ideas but now that I have a laptop, my characters have gone completely silent. The douchebags. Lmbo :(

Feel like writing my book for me? Lol jkjkjkjk
